Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
  • Analyze benefits utilization, trends, and costs to support strategic decision-making and cost management.
  • Maintain benefits data and reporting within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Assist with annual open enrollment planning, communications, and system configuration.
  • Serve as liaison with benefits vendors, brokers, and internal departments to resolve benefits issues and improve service delivery.
  • Conduct market benchmarking and research to ensure benefits offerings remain competitive.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance with federal and state laws including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and other benefits-related regulations.
  • Develop and maintain benefits documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for HR leadership regarding benefits performance and participation.
  • Provide guidance to employees regarding benefit programs and eligibility.
  • Support audits and ensure data accuracy in payroll and benefits systems.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, HR analytics, or compensation and benefits analysis.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience using HRIS systems and data tools.
  • Knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA).
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as   CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR , or similar are preferred.
