Job Description

Position Overview:

Virginia Landscape Group is seeking a Landscape Production Manager to oversee daily field operations for our landscape enhancement and construction division. This role is responsible for managing crews, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and profitably, and maintaining high-quality standards from start to finish.

This is a hands-on leadership role - you’ll be in the field regularly, directing crews, solving problems, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise multiple landscape construction crews.
  • Oversee project execution (planting, hardscapes, grading, drainage, installs).
  • Ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
  • Coordinate daily schedules, materials, and equipment.
  • Communicate with clients when needed to ensure satisfaction.
  • Monitor job costs, labor hours, and production efficiency.
  • Train and develop crew leaders and field staff.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies.
  • Work closely with office team on scheduling, purchasing, and job costing.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience in landscape construction or similar field.
  • 1+ years in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of: 
    • Hardscaping (pavers, walls, drainage).
    • Plant installation and layout.
    • Equipment operation.
  • Ability to read plans and execute designs accurately.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
