Maintenance Technician (Full-Time)
Allegria Village – Dearborn, MI

Full-time Maintenance Technician needed for senior living community. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience preferred. $18–$22/hour + on-call rotation.

Allegria Village, a premier senior living community in Dearborn, is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in apartment maintenance, building systems, and general repairs who takes pride in providing a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform general maintenance and repairs, including:
  • Plumbing and basic electrical work
  • Drywall, flooring, and fixture repairs
  • Appliance troubleshooting and repair
  • Painting and unit refurbishing
• Assist with HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting
• Support upkeep of building systems including water, pumps, motors, and generators
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities
• Maintain tools, parts, and supply inventory
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards (PPE, Lockout/Tagout, MSDS, fire safety)
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
• Participate in team meetings and support ongoing facility improvements

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (apartment, facilities, or similar)
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Customer-service mindset and team-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC experience or certification
• Experience in senior living, apartment communities, or facilities maintenance

Education & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching
• Ability to work in an active, hands-on environment

Additional Information

• Participation in an on-call rotation is required
• Employment contingent on background check
