Job Overview
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for travel assignments . The RT will be responsible for assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory disorders , working closely with healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires expertise in ventilation management, airway care, and pulmonary function testing .
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions .
- Administer oxygen therapy, nebulizers, bronchodilators, and chest physiotherapy .
- Operate and manage ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP machines .
- Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpret results.
- Assist in emergency airway management and resuscitation procedures .
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapy techniques and disease management .
- Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols .
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program .
- Certification:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) from the NBRC.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (as required per facility).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
- Skills:
- Expertise in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway clearance techniques .
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills .
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Travel Readiness: Willing to relocate temporarily for travel assignments.
