Duties are performed with a high degree of independence, but require excellent teamwork with attorneys and other staff members. Work is performed under the general supervision of a Public Defender and is reviewed by the Defender General or his/her designee. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Minimum: $29.15 Maximum: $45.58
The salary range reflects the minimum rate and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree. Experience: Four years of professional investigation work, or experience as required by the Defender General. Additional work experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a six month per semester basis. Knowledge of Vermont's criminal justice system is ideal. Work location may be flexible because this is a position that requires field work, but an applicant must be willing to travel to facilities throughout the state on a regular basis.
